    Responsibilities

    We are currently seeking a versatile, hands-on Junior Financial/Budget Analyst for our contract supporting the efforts of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to transform their delivery of IT Solutions via the FAA Cloud Services (FCS) program. This position shall be dedicated to assisting the FAA's FCS Contracts and Resource Manager as required. The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on financial and budgeting analyst, willing to assume leadership as delegated by FAA civil servants, and can thoroughly document 1-3 years of hands-on experience primarily dedicated to providing financial analytical support.

    The Junior Financial/Budget Analyst will be responsible for developing budgets, monitoring and reporting on the status of FCS Program for a Federal Government Client. To accomplish this, the Financial/Budget Analyst will gather data from financial and contract systems as well as consolidating invoice data. S/He will exercise excellent spreadsheet and presentation skills to assist in the analysis and communication of project financial status. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent problem solving skills and analytical capabilities.

     

    Additional responsibilities will include:

    • Forecasting expenditures; estimates to complete; estimate at completion
    • Conduct variance analysis and explain the root cause to management
    • Knowledge of various government contract types and vehicles including T&M and Fixed Price contracts.
    • Familiarity with SOW, RFP and non-competitive justification writing desired.
    • Apply knowledge of IT, associated project artifacts, and hardware preferred.
    • Collaborate with Noblis and client team members through written and verbal interactions and presentations
    • Apply consulting and interpersonal skills to a wide range of business situations
    • Experience with building Excel spreadsheets with advanced formulas and functions.
    • Ability to interview clients, define budget requirements, develop cost estimates and research data issues.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related fields with a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
    • Strong Microsoft Excel experience and capabilities required.
    • Experience establishing, monitoring, forecasting and reporting project budgets.
    • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and procurement best practices is desirable.
    • All candidates must have strong communication and writing skills, ability to solve problems independently, and responsible for meeting deadlines.
