    Responsibilities

    Lead Software Developer in Washington DC

    Noblis is supporting a federal agency to improve cloud security across the government.  We are currently developing a web application to support this effort.  We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to lead a software development team and ensure project success:

    • Engage and partner with internal and client personnel to understand specific system and functional requirements
    • Develop and test web-applications
    • Review and modify code to meet new requirements
    • Optimize user interface for ease of use
    • Apply Agile Methodology to manage Software Development project
    • Knowledge of cloud architecture/design

    Qualifications

    Required Skills

    • Bachelors in Computer Science or similar
    • Five or more years of experience with hands-on software development
    • Two or more years of experience leading software development projects using Agile
    • Programming Languages - Python, PostGreSQL, Javascript, HTML/CSS
    • Tools, Technologies, Frameworks and Libraries: Flask, Alembic, SQLAlchemy, Git, Jenkins,
    • Operating System and Environment: CentOS, Apache
    • Experience working in multi-developer teams and advanced knowledge of version control and source code control processes
    • Experience with cloud architecture/design

    Desired Skills:

    • Automated testing
    • DevOps best practices
    • Database design and administration
    • Experience in unit testing, integration testing, mocking and dependency injection
    • Strong self-organization and self-management skills, with emphasis on self-initiation and follow through
    • Problem solver and innovative thinker
    • Excellent communications and writing skills
    • Experience interacting with clients is beneficial
