    Responsibilities

    Noblis is searching for a System Engineer with RF, DSP or satellite communications experience and a Top Secret SCI clearance in Chantilly.

     

    We require a Systems Engineering SETA with a focus in end to end system design, radio development, contract execution and system testing.  This will include requirement collection and definition for a diverse customer set, evaluation of technical proposals, navigation of procurement processes, shepherding new contracts, and execution of industry surveys, management of multiple vendor efforts and document preparation and review. This person will also assist in the coordination of deployment and system activation activities, including integration and testing support.

     

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    Position requires strong system engineering perspective and leadership skills to support a government team in technical coordination, risk assessment, progress tracking, and implementation trades. You will support oversight of development contractor activities, including planning of verification and test activities, and test witnessing. This role requires outstanding oral and written communication skills, proven leadership ability, and a strong desire to work in a dynamic team environment. Must be highly skilled in Excel, PowerPoint and Project to support program activities. Position requires nominally 10% domestic travel.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Must have and maintain a current and active Top Secret SCI clearance and have the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph
    • BS in engineering or science discipline related to physics, engineering, or mathematics
    • Familiarity with one or more of the following: RF engineering, Radio systems, VSAT systems, Satellite communications, Digital Signal Processing, handheld radio devices
    • 10 years in a systems engineering role with a demonstrable knowledge of systems engineering
    • Experience writing requirements documents, test plans, standard operating procedures and other common engineering documents
    • Ability to communicate very technical subjects to a diverse audience of senior decision makers with varying levels of technical expertise
    • Experience  with deployed  IC architectures
    • Experience managing programs and technical studies using government acquisition processes
    • Ability to recognize requirements based on the organization's mission and vision

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Knowledge and experience with RF technologies, applications, and performance metrics
    • Significant experience and knowledge related to field testing efforts
    • Demonstrated experience managing requirements across a diverse set of customers
    • Minimum of 5 years recent or current experience in system or software development, operations support, or other direct support to the intelligence community (IC)
