    Noblis is hiring a DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR with a Top Secret SCI clearance in Warner Robins, GA.


    Duties and responsibilities include the following:

    • Installation, configuration and maintenance of PostgreSQL, MS SQL and Sybase Server databases
    • Design, implementation and sustainment of supported RDBMS products to include monitoring and tuning
    • Database production support: troubleshoot, report, and prioritize bugs on operational issues
    • Automation of tasks in Shell and cron
    • Improve and promote operational scalability and standardization of RDBMS products
    • Setting up and supporting RDBMS backup, replication, load balancing and clustering solutions
    • Work with Integrated Product Teams to help them create highly reliable data applications
    • Work with IT to manage hardware storage platforms to optimize suitability for RDBMS instances
    • Create tools and processes to automate RDBMS administration and monitoring
    • Create RDBMS best practices documentation and work with teams optimizing underlying databases
    • Routine support includes software installs, updates and security patches, support to application specialists, and monitoring of systems and log files to ensure appropriate server resource availability for support-ed RDBMS products
    • Maintain a continuing computer engineering knowledge of state-of-the-art development in hardware and software, their individual characteristics, capabilities, operations, and limitations
    • Analyze data contained in databases and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems
    • Provide assistance and advice to Mission Operations users in the effective use of RDBMS products & technology
    • Participating in security monitoring, managing, and testing, such as IAVA's, patches, etc



    • Must have and maintain an ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI clearance
    • Bachelors Degree in technical discipline (preferably Information Technology)
    • 5 Years experience as PostgresSQL Database Administrator
    • Candidates must be actively actively DoD Directive 8140/8570 program compliant for IAT Level 2 (Sec+, CISSP, etc)
    • MCSE SQL Server or MCSA SQL Server
    • Prior experience with RDBMS development in Perl, Shell Scripts and custom SQL Queries
    • VMware virtualization awareness and experience
    • Able to analyze data for evaluation of operational systems to establish requirements for modification or replacement
    • Experience in resolving complex issues related to data base performance tuning and provisioning issues
    • Must be able to travel


    • Certification as a PostgresSQL Professional or Microsoft Certified DBA (MCDBA) strongly preferred
    • Knowledge of Enterprise IT Service Management: IT Service Delivery, ITIL Service Management Framework including: Service design, Service-level management, Availability management, Capacity management and IT service continuity management
