    In support to the National Cryptologic School, the College of Cyber develops education and training strategies, leveraged by its partnerships across academia, the private sector, and the US Government. The College of Cyber attracts and prepares tomorrow's workforce for a career in cyber, and pursues cyber workforce development initiatives at the national level.


    The Cybersecurity Strategy Consultant (Communications Technologist) provides consulting services in support of senior U.S. government leaders. The consultant assists in the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategic communications initiatives and communications engagements. The consultant also supports initiatives to facilitate and coordinate integration and collaboration among the organization, the IC, the DoD, and other U.S. government agencies.


    The Cybersecurity Strategy Consultant - Communications Level 1 shall:


    • Provide classified and unclassified Video Teleconference, polycom, audio/video, and multimedia equipment support.
    • Support information-sharing technologies to provide a collaborative environment for the organization to manage projects through use of a centralized repository system.
    • Support the organization's MS SharePoint site by creating lists and documents, assigning permission levels, creating permission matrices, document libraries, and by providing site administration,
    • Assist the Government in technical refreshment activities by identifying aging technology or technology refreshment activities required to optimize cybersecurity policy and strategy operations.
    • Develop workflow processing support to automate coordination and information sharing activities (e.g., SharePoint, shared directories, and aliases).
    • Provide electronic document management support to transfer documents across domain platforms (i.e., UNCLASSIFIED, SECRET and TOP SECRET) using various formats (e.g., text, spreadsheets, and graphics) for collaboration and coordination of cybersecurity policy.
    • Assist in the design, maintenance and the update of documents to include web-based resources, SharePoint, aliases, SiteWorks.
    • Assist the Government in technical infusion activities to include evaluating operational use of information technology and identification areas where current, upcoming or state­ of-the-art technology would enhance the organization's operations
    • Support the organization's efforts in synchronizing NSA's participation in cybersecurity activities across the Government.
    • Support and leverage technology management platforms to automate information sharing and communications process.


    Required Qualification:

    • Current TS/SCI Eligibility with polygraph
    • Bachelor's degree in System Administration, Computer Systems, Web Administration or a directly related field, or certification in one of the following Microsoft technologies: MS SharePoint, MOSS 2007, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Exchange 2003/2007, or Portal Administration. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional four (4) years' experience is required, equaling 12 years of experience in the above.
    • Minimum 8 years' experience in cybersecurity (e.g., Information Assurance, Information Systems Security, and Computer Network Defense) in the development of National Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy.
    • Minimum of eight (8) years cumulative experience in the following:

      • Microsoft SharePoint
      • Information sharing and collaboration software technologies (e.g., shared directories, portals, web pages, video teleconference technology, etc.)
      • Website design implementation, optimization, and management
      • Web Portals, Web Services, Web 2.0, SiteWorks
      • Adobe/PDF-like image file formats, Adobe LiveCycle, Creative Suite
    • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional four (4) years' experience is required, equaling 12 years of experience in the above.
