Responsibilities

The Accounting and Finance division is looking for an accounting staff member in the General Ledger and Tax department. We are a team oriented, dynamic group that works very well together to meet our deadlines and address any challenges.  The accounting staff will be responsible for maintenance of the accounting system as well as financial analysis and reporting to management.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support the monthly and year-end financial closing process and associated management reporting.
  • Prepare and enter journal entries.
  • Analyze account and financial data.
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Support internal/external audit requirements.
  • Assist with tax filings and requirements.
  • Manage fixed assets processing.
  • Build knowledge of department policies & procedures in order to improve efficiencies as well as timely and accurate results.
  • Collaborate across functions within the company to promote information sharing and analysis.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent and zero (0) to two (2) years experience.
  • Well organized, strong team player with good communication & analytical skills.
  • Flexible, highly motived with the ability to multi task in a dynamic work environment
  • A sound knowledge of large scale accounting software and standard accounting principles. Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint is a plus.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of practices and procedures for government contract accounting is a plus.

  • CPA or CPA candidate
